That’s what makes Samurai different.

Accreditations
Practising what we preach. Our expertise isn’t solely based on the skills within our business, but also on the highest industry standards, which is why we work hard to achieve accreditations that demonstrate our commitment to excellence. We ensure ethical practices across our supply chain, support environmental sustainability in our manufacturing, and, most importantly, recognise and value the potential of our people. We uphold these standards by working with BSCI-audited factories that promote fair working conditions, worker wellbeing, and responsible management, while minimising environmental impact through the use of recyclable cartons and packaging materials wherever possible.
BSCI Audit
A BSCI audit (from amfori BSCI) is designed to assess how a factory performs against ethical and social responsibility standards. It has a broad impact across both ethical practices and environmental sustainability, although its primary focus is social compliance.
Impact on Ethical Practices
A BSCI audit directly targets working conditions and labour rights:
- Supports workers’ rights and wellbeing
- Ensures no child labour or forced labour
- Promotes fair wages and regulated working hours
- Requires safe and hygienic working conditions
- Encourages worker representation and grievance mechanisms
- Helps ensure workers are treated fairly and safely, reducing the risk of exploitation
Management Accountability
Factory management is required to implement formal policies (e.g. anti-discrimination and anti-harassment). The audit also:
- Requires documentation and transparency in operations
- Encourages continuous improvement through corrective action plans
- Embeds ethical responsibility into daily operations rather than treating it as a one-time requirement
Supply Chain Transparency
BSCI audits provide brands and buyers with greater visibility into factory conditions, supporting more informed and responsible sourcing decisions.
Impact on Environmental Sustainability
While BSCI is not primarily an environmental standard, it still contributes to sustainability by requiring basic environmental controls. Factories are expected to monitor:
- Waste disposal
- Chemical handling
- Resource usage (water and energy)
